Anglesey Marine Week

4th-10th August 2018

Anglesey Marine Week is all about getting people to fall in love with our sea, to know more about it and to inspire them to help protect it.

For the past six years, Kathy from Naturebites has arranged a week of marine-themed activities to encourage residents and visitors to discover something new about the sea surrounding Anglesey. From coasteering and kayaking to the edible seashore, rockpooling, coastal geology and coastal wildlife tours, Kathy has strived to offer a mix of activities that span the arts, sport, cuisine and wildlife conservation. This year, Anglesey Marine Week 2018 will have a strong online presence and for this reason we’d be super grateful if you would take a moment to ‘like’ the Anglesey Marine Week Facebook page and to keep up to date with our guest blogs throughout 4-10th August 2018.

Coasteering with Outdoor Active

Outdoor and active sports on Anglesey are as diverse as the environments found on the Island. There are a multitude of sea based activities including coasteering, kayaking, scuba diving, free diving, kite surfing and many more. On the land there is climbing, abseiling, biking, kiting, and more.

Let’s talk about coasteering. Coasteering is fun, exhilarating, interesting, and can be very physical. It involves swimming, jumping of the rocks into the sea, climbing up again, and doing it all over again. It’s this diversity that makes it the best activity we do! Whether the sea is flat calm, or up to a moderate state the fun remains constant. In fact, it can be a case of rougher the better!
So, during Anglesey Marine Week come and join us for a coasteering session and see what all the hype is about, trust me you will be glad you did!
Especially for Anglesey Marine Week, Outdoor Active are offering half-price coasteering sessions at £20 per person.
Sessions will run on Saturday 4th August at 10am, Sunday 5th August at 10am and Wednesday 8th August at 10am.
