Anglesey Marine Week 2013

Hello all,

This is just a note to say that I hope you’ll be able to join us soon for Anglesey Marine Week 2013! It’s August 3rd-9th and this year we’ve got even more great events to choose from. Many of the events are free and the rest are at reduced cost and/or for charity so there’s every reason to get involved and perhaps try something new.

The full programme of events is detailed here…..

There are two Naturebites events as part of Anglesey Marine Week; a guided tour of the ‘inland sea’ on Sunday 4th August and a wildlife-watching boat trip on Friday 9th August.

We’re really excited to be offering our first boat trip and hope some of you will be able to join us! Recently Ken spotted a pod of seven Risso’s dolphin near Holyhead, so who knows what might be around in a few weeks?!

We’ll be helping out at as many events as possible, so please come and say hello if you spot us.

Please use the contact page if you want further details on any of the events and to reserve your place.

I’d like as many people to know about Anglesey Marine Week as possible, so please forward this post to friends and family you think may be interested and share it through social media too!

Thanks in advance for getting involved!

Hey Kathy, went to Cemlyn on Friday, gutted I didn’t get to see you though :(, sadly, but got some nice tern shots (probably will upload them later).

Did you see my dolphin shot from last year which I’ve been trying to show you? 🙂

Also the comment i posted in response to your previous comment on your last blog disappeared as well – I can’t imagine you’d be deleting them so where do they go? lol

Would love to join you on your marine week, sounds great … Long way down the coast in Cornwall, will be doing my own conservation, by seawatching and surveying the marine megafauna – see what turns up!

Pelagics will only get better heading into the autumn so I expect I’ll be out and about then, too, and with camera in hand!

Take care Kathy and all the best

Told you I keep an eye out on your blog! 🙂

      Hi Graeme,

I have no idea what’s happened to your other posts…I can only imagine that they got hidden by all the spam and I accidentally deleted them – apologies if so!

You’ve done a great job at keeping an eye on my blog and I’m very flattered. I’m not working at Cemlyn for the Wildlife Trust this year, just when I take people on tours there. I’m sure it was wonderful in my absence though! This year they have even more pairs than the last – brilliant!

The dolphin pic is gorgeous! He/she looks very content!

I’m sorry you can’t be here for marine week, but I can appreciate that’s a long way! If you know of anyone who lives in this neck of the woods, or anyone visiting then please pass on the info.

I love Cornwall and will have to make a pilgrimage soon!

Thanks for persisting with these messages!!

      Kathy x
